"Lonestar" Coming to Las Colinas
The Studios at Las Colinas will be the home for a new FOX network television series!
"Lonestar," starring academy award winning actor Jon Voight, will be filmed at The Studios at Las Colinas. The FOX primetime series will occupy the stages after the most recent series for ABC television, "The Deep End," was cancelled.
Set in Houston, "Lonestar" follows the drama of a rich oil family, headed by Voight, whose son-in-law lives a second life in Midland with a girlfriend. Set construction begins in July and filming tentatively is planned for August.
The state of the art soundstages have been busy with television production after many years of housing major motion pictures such as "Silkwood," "The Trip to Bountiful," "Robocop," and "JFK."

Las Colinas-based Boy Scouts of America Celebrates Centennial
