  • Las Colinas is a 12,000-acre master-planned business and residential community in Irving, Texas, near the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The development is convenient to both the DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

  • Founded in September of 1973 by Ben H. Carpenter, Las Colinas is known worldwide for its quality and uniqueness. The concept has not been duplicated anywhere in the world.

  • The property was originally the Carpenter's Hackberry Creek Ranch also referred to as "El Ranchito de Las Colinas," or "the little ranch of the hills."

  • The development comprises 22.3 million square feet of office space and 8.5 million square feet of light industrial and distribution space. Retail space totals 1.3+ million square feet.

  • The Urban Center totals 960 acres and contains the world's largest equestrian sculpture located at Williams Square. The award-winning sculpture is one of the top visited tourist attractions in North Texas.

  • Las Colinas has a total assessment base of more than $5 billion and is home to 2,000+ corporations including the world headquarters of ExxonMobil, Kimberly-Clark, Fluor Corporation, Pioneer Natural Resources and Zale Corporation. It also serves as the national and regional headquarters to companies such as Nokia, Microsoft, NEC, and Verizon. The employee base is 103,000.

  • Approximately 31,000 residents live in Las Colinas.  There are 26 residential neighborhoods and 18 homeowner sub-associations.

  • Education campuses in Las Colinas and surrounding area include: The University of Dallas, North Lake Community College, Cistercian Preparatory School, and North Hills Charter School. Las Colinas Elementary (Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD) and the Irving High School Academy (Irving ISD) are also in Las Colinas.

  • Las Colinas is comprised of 190 acres of parks and greenbelts, 17 miles of canal waterways and 10 miles of riverside hiking and biking trails, all which contribute to the many recreational opportunities and excellent quality of life.

  • Rich in amenities, Las Colinas has 25 hotels with a total of 4,266 rooms, more than 70 restaurants, four 18-hole championship golf courses, three private clubs, a polo club and an equestrian center.

  • Las Colinas is served by superior highway systems which include SH-114, SH-161, and I-635.

  • Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light-rail expansion will reach Las Colinas in 2011 and continue to the Dallas International Airport by 2012.
