The Association´s Community Relations Department serves as liaison between the Association, its membership, subgroups of the membership and various community, civic, educational, cultural, and municipal entities.
Some of the liaison groups and other activities in which the Community Relations Department is involved include:
- New Member Orientations
- Urban Center Property Managers
- Residential (Homeowners Association) Presidents
- Realtor and Title Company Forums
- Community Task Force Groups and Initiatives
- Multifamily Liaisons
- Special Projects and Events
- Local / State Legislative Issues
Spirit of Las Colinas, the Association's newsletter, is produced by the Community Relations staff and is mailed four times per year to members and other interested parties. An electronic newsletter is distributed as a supplement to the publication throughout the year.
A representative from the Community Relations Department frequently attends City Council work sessions, board meetings of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and other regulatory agencies and civic groups whenever possible.
The Association often solicits the opinions of its membership by way of a written survey. The responses on a variety of timely issues are compiled and relayed back to the membership in a report. The Community Relations Department develops, publishes and distributes the survey.
